Privacy Policy

The Fairway Villa ("we", "us") operates a short-term holiday rental in Pampanga, Philippines, and uses a Facebook Messenger assistant to help respond to guest enquiries about the property. This policy explains what data we collect through that assistant, how we use it, and how you can have it deleted.

1 · What we collect

When you send a message to our Facebook Page, we receive and store:

• Your Facebook Page-scoped user ID (PSID) — an identifier specific to our Page that does not reveal your real Facebook profile.
• The content of the messages you send to us and the replies we send back.
• Timestamps for those messages.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, payment details, or any other profile information through the Messenger assistant unless you choose to type it into a message.

2 · How we use it

We use your messages solely to read your enquiry and prepare a relevant reply about the villa — availability, pricing, check-in details, and similar. A draft reply is generated with the help of an AI language model and is reviewed by a person before it is sent to you. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3 · Who we share it with

To generate draft replies, message text is sent to our AI processing provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), which processes it to produce a suggested response. We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law. Message delivery itself is handled by Meta (Facebook) through the Messenger Platform, subject to Meta's own privacy policy.

4 · How long we keep it

We retain only a short rolling history of each conversation — the most recent messages — for the purpose of replying in context. Conversation data is deleted on request, and in any case is not retained longer than necessary to provide a reply.

5 · How to delete your data

You can have all data associated with your account deleted in either of these ways:

• Remove the app: In Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, find this app, and remove it. Facebook notifies us and we delete your stored conversation data.
• Email us: Send a request to admin@thefairwayvilla.com and we will delete all stored data for your account within 30 days.

6 · Children

This service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.

7 · Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
